We're thrilled to introduce FishMhor, a new sub-brand under the J Boult Designs family. FishMhor is born out of a love for the coastal lifestyle, the rugged beauty of nature, and a dedication to quality Scottish craftsmanship. With this new line, we wanted to express our love for angling; Scottish rivers, lochs and seas; and handmade leather products.
Fishmhor draws its inspiration from the Scottish coastlines, where the raw elements of nature meet a rich heritage of craftsmanship. The name itself evokes the imagery of the sea ("Fish") and the Gaelic word for great ("Mhor"), symbolising our commitment to chasing more water adventures and tradition.
Every item in the FishMhor collection is designed with meticulous attention to detail, combining traditional techniques with modern sensibilities. From the materials we source to the finishing touches, each product tells a story of quality, durability, and an unmistakable connection to the great outdoors. This range is offered in three different colours: olive, blue and tan brown.
The olive and tan brown leathers are sourced from a renowned Tuscan tannery, where each hide is treated with bark extracts in wooden barrels, gently coated with a mixture of animal fats, and drum-coloured to perfection. The result is a smooth, luxurious leather that ages beautifully over time.
The Italian vegetable tanned blue leather, created using the same traditional process, offers a more opaque finish, showcasing the natural character of the material.

With a love for the sea in your pocket, this hand saddle stitched range of card wallets are perfect for keeping all your bank cards in one place. Available in tan, blue and olive leathers. Each wallet is carefully hand-cut and hand saddle stitched in our workshop overlooking the Sound of Mull. Designed to initially hold three cards (but will hold more as the leather ages), it’s finished with a stunning mackerel design stamp, making it the perfect accessory for sea lovers and keen anglers alike.
